Around 75 percent crypto investors are below the age of 35, says report

The top five crypto tokens based on their market share include Dogecoin with 11.1 percent share, Bitcoin (8.5 percent), Ethereum (6.4 percent), Shiba Inu (5.7 percent) and Cardano (5.1 percent).

There are more than 19 million crypto investors in India, out of which, 9 percent belong to the fairer sex. The year 2023 was reasonably positive for the overall industry with Bitcoin reporting a massive spike of more than 160 percent. Other tokens such as Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin and Cardano also were in the green, stated the second edition of CoinSwitch report, ‘India’s Crypto Portfolio 2023’.

BlackRock, Nasdaq, SEC Met Regarding Bitcoin ETF

This is the second meeting in a month between the parties about rule changes required to list the bitcoin ETF.

Representatives from BlackRock (BLK), Nasdaq, and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) met for the second time in a month to discuss rule changes that are necessary to list the bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund (ETF), according to a published memo.

 The governor was very clear in this matter, and the stance hasn't changed. The Reserve Bank's stated position is that they do not target any particular level. They just act to reduce volatility on either side. All of this is just active management by the Reserve Bank. I do not see what prompted IMF to change its stance” said Vikas Goel, Managing Director and CEO at PNB Gilts Ltd.

“The IMF is saying that the intervention is more than that, it's just a matter of degree. At different points in time, the Reserve Bank's definition of what is volatile changes. When there is a great degree of uncertainty globally, then they would prefer less volatility. On the other hand, if there is stability globally, then they might tolerate much higher volatility. Reserve Bank's routine foreign exchange rate management policy, it is flexible and it is not a static policy,” he added.
